Easy Spring Nails: Sunny Side Up Mani

By  |  2 Comments

At one point, winter is tricky beautiful! There’s this implacable beauty of endless immaculate white snowed earth meeting a crystal clear blue sky where there’s no cloud, nothing but the sun reigning supreme!

Take that ‘Sunny Side Up’ and do like I do – dream of Spring flowers, pastel colors and happy nails! Hence our first Spring Manicure, with simple white flowers on a clear, blue sky backdrop! Let’s all think about warm days and flower buds, maybe winter will just scare away and fade, leaving the beautiful gardens ready for green new leaves and colorful flowers!

Enough of the daydreaming, though, let’s get back to the actual nails! This is one of the simplest, most versatile nail art techniques you can try! Especially if you have all your colors at hand! I didn’t. But I did had one thing: the idea, so I needed to bend things a little to make this manicure possible! I combined Zoya Robyn with Orly Pink Whisper and this beautiful, shimmery pastel blue came out! I loved it so much, I wanted to keep it on plainly, sans décor. But then again, where would all the fun be without nail art?

So being all excited and jittery with my newly invented blue, here’s what I added on top: simple, happy white flowers! Because they’re so easy to do and because they look so joyful against the baby blue nails! Sunny Side Up – isn’t is a lovely name for a cute mani like this? It’s like calling out for Spring!

And you know, as simple as these are, people around you will see them! It’s amazing how flower nails get so much compliments and attention – remember my retro flowers a while back? These are my crowdpleasers so far as I’ve been stopped and asked about them every time I had them on! Do try and paint your nails with a Sunny Side Up or Retro Flowers and let me know if you feel the magic too!
