Wedding Nails: Copper Flowers Mani

By  |  4 Comments

The wedding season is on! Whether you’re just a guest or playing an active part in the wedding, I know you’ll pay attention to every detail of your look, from tip to toes!

I already showed you my favorite bridal nails, how about the wedding guest nails? You could definitely choose any nail art matching your outfit or the wedding theme, or even ask me what nails to wear with your outfit! Today I’ll show you how to create a fabulous manicure with copper flowers and glitter on a semi-opaque base!

Using Revlon Sheer Pink I painted all my nails in a delicate semi opaque finish. I use that one a lot lately – you’ve seen my Poppy nails growing on the same base – but with no particular reason. I tend to obsess about this or that base lacquer (by ‘base’ I mean the base color of a future nail art). This week’s obsession is Sheer Pink from Revlon.

Now, after it dried, I painted flowers with the nail art polish brush. You can use any nail art striping brush to achieve this design, I used both the brush from the bottle and one from my nail art brushes set. Whichever suits you is best! Just paint irregular shaped flowers contours.

You may notice I used two nail polishes – it doesn’t mean you have to do the same, I opted for two instead of a single lacquer simply because I had a copper nail polish that didn’t shine enough so I painted the contours with bronze glitter and overlayed with the copper polish. Don’t bother to plan the placement of the flowers or the contours, they’ll come out lovely once you add the stamens!

…talking of which: I added the stamens using OPI Holiday Glow, a gorgeous chocolate with shimmers and glitters, dotting the center of the flowers contours. The result is stunning and it really gives life to the copper flowers!

I sealed the nail art with rapi dry topcoat and added the glitter accent nail (the ring finger nail is a special nail in this case as it’s supposed to be a wedding guest manicure, thus celebrating the union in love of two people, usually marked with a wedding ring). Added a copper dot, just for fun and went ahead with the pictures! I hope you find these useful and have fun painting them!
